Applied Bacterial Control (ABC)
As an extension of St David’s Poultry Team, ABC has grown into a business in its' own right, becoming a standalone initiative to tackle the problem of antibiotic reduction head on.
We have lead the way in researching and testing alternative approaches, and now with many years of experience, we are in a good position to advise our clients on total packages of products and husbandry techniques which allow further antibiotic reduction.
At its core, ABC is focused on diagnosis and developing vet health plans to fit individual farm needs, recognising the need for tailored solutions and management systems. We provide solutions for the pig, poultry and ruminant sectors.
Initially both farmers and vets were wary of removing antibiotics from regular use. However through tried and tested solutions, we are now able to work closely with farms, integrators, processors and packers to introduce strategies that work for individual needs in a sustainable way.
Working with ABC presents the opportunity to be at the forefront of antibiotic reduction, developing new husbandry protocols and sourcing alternative products to support both government, industry and international targets; making the business an exciting place to be for any progressive vet looking for a new challenge.
