South West Equine Referral Practice is looking for an Experienced Qualified Equine Nurse.

We now have an exciting opportunity an equine veterinary nurse to join to join our growing team in providing an enhanced patient and client experience, positive team culture, and delivery of high-quality support to our referring veterinarians.

This is a hospital-based position, where the successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of outstanding service and standards, across our medical and surgical services.

As we are a new and rapidly growing business this unique role is a great opportunity for a driven nurse to be instrumental in the development of our culture, and to build a fantastic, supported career in an independent referral practice.

Applicant requirements:

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Excellent clinical nursing skills and broad range of equine nursing experience
  • Experience and confidence handling all types of horses, including trotting and lunging

Desirable areas of experience:

  • Diagnostic imagery
  • Surgical nursing
  • Intensive care
  • Orthopaedic investigation

We are a new and innovative independent practice in the heart of the South West. Our clinical services include general surgery, internal medicine, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, cardiology, intensive care, neonatal care, and poor performance. Our facilities include standing surgical suite, surgical theatre, isolation unit, indoor and outdoor arenas, and in house haematology,

biochemistry and microbiology.
